NOTICE: all those missions starting by DIII New Story are part of an alternate complete different story of what you know when playing DIII the first time. It is not "new" in the sense "following DIII" but it's "new" in the sense "an alternate story in a parallel universe". Hence, every characters meet for the first time in different places and contexts, led by another plot between different protagonists having different roles than in the original DIII story.

Story

Kate and John soon became lovers after they met during their previous adventure, when they rescued Ian and get a 3000$ bounty for the blue brothers.


Hector

Hector Mendoza is a strong Texan man currently working for Vincent DeVitt as an henchman.
He is in charged of keeping a close watch on the trains and railroads of the DeVitt Train Company.
Unfortunately, he learned about a possible attack of a train at the station of Grants. Plus, Mr William Baxter is onboard, on his way to visit Edward DeVitt, his friend and long time business partner.


Prologue Part II

3 months after their first encounter, Kate and John are now on a train coming back from Mexico.
Suddenly, the train stopped. They quickly realized it's not a normal stop, but rather a hold-up or a robbery.
They had enough time to get out of the train and to hide some place safe near.
They wonder what they need to do. Why is this train attacked ? Who or what those bandits are trying to get ?
They decide to make their way and kill all of those bandits. John has seen harder tasks than this before.

Mission Briefing

During their attempt to clean the way, they meet Hector, who was doing the same thing.
He explains to Kate and John that he is an henchman paid to keep the trains and railroads safe.
Sadly today, he learned too late about the attack, and couldn't get his team to monitor the station.
All of 3 decide to team up, kill all bandits, and save Mr Baxter who has been kept as an hostage.


Mission Objectives

Kill all bandits
Save Mr Baxter and bring him back into the train
The mission ends when Kate, John and Hector enter the train

Alarms: as many as you want


Badges

- Do not pick ammo with Kate and John
- Save Mr Baxter with Hector first

Notes

As stated in the previous mission, only Doc can tie-up people. Might be useful to know that Hector can quickly pick up knocked-out guys

Congrats ! Impressive to do it without triggering any alarm.
This mission was more of the "noisy" style but if you were able to do it silently and still have fun, that's also great !

Very challenging especially saving Mr Baxter using only hector. Once you have all 3 it's not easy but it's easier compered to the first part, and the more you kill the easier it gets, but that's inevitable.

I noticed that if you use crtl+a to hit a guard with hector you can tie them up (not sure with cooper, i didn't try), i reloaded and did it without using it but i think you should know if you want to change that.

I did it like madjo without any alarm, if i trigger an alarm i feels like i lost the mission, i am too much used to finish a level without any alarm.
I didn't use the dress and any weapon with cooper and kate but i had to use to 2 shots with hector's gun

About the Ctrl+A or Ctrl+Y, I noticed that too, that it will automatically tie up the person after knocking him/her out. I don't think I can prevent that, it's too deep in code I would say.
Just try to not use this combo Ctrl+A / Ctrl+Y, like you did, like I also do.

The next mission (prologue part III) is not very sneaky and can be very long (the longest I made I would say) especially if you try to do it without alarms. But after that, in the main story, most of the missions are stealthy (except 2 and possibly 6)

Yeah i saw, i just wrote a comment about it, the long missions are not a problem i am more of a slow and steady person, i enjoy them most than doing the speedruns
