NOTICE: all those missions starting by DIII New Story are part of an alternate complete different story of what you know when playing DIII the first time. It is not "new" in the sense "following DIII" but it's "new" in the sense "an alternate story in a parallel universe". Hence, every characters meet for the first time in different places and contexts, led by another plot between different protagonists having different roles than in the original DIII story.

After the 3 prologue missions, the main story starts now, in 1875, one year and a half after the first encounter between John and Kate. They are still lovers, but John keeps on travelling and catch bad guys for bounty.
Kate is having a more peaceful life, spending time between her uncle's ranch or in different towns, close by like Flagstone, or far away like New Orleans.
As for Hector, after earning his freedom from Vincent DeVitt, he chose to work for Ian O'Hara, where he enjoys being an handyman in a quiet environment.

Flagstone, Mayor Higgins and Vincent DeVitt

The DeVitt Train Company is expanding at a new place in Colorado, where a station just started to get built in Flagstone, with the approval of Mayor Higgins. Higgins owns parts of the Train Company and is happy to welcome the railroad in his town.

Unfortunately, the railroad has to cross a part of the town. Higgins, knowing this could be bad for his reputation, had made the promise to compensate and relocate the victims of the construction.
One morning, the construction is under attack, invaded by some thugs, armed guys and some civilians led by Mr. McBane, who set some parts of the site on fire.
They are revolting against the fact that the construction has started but nothing has been done about their compensation.

Mayor Higgins arrives in town to observe the situation. Judge McGain is also there watching what is going to happen.
7 of Higgins' long coat men are surrounding the construction site, but they can almost do nothing. If they do something, it will end in a bloodbath with dead people for both sides.
DeVitt is informed of the situation and demands Higgins to kill their leader. The rebellion would stop and the rebels will surrender, being afraid of all getting sniped.

Higgins hurries to send a message to his personal hitman, Doc McCoy.

Map: Flagstone

Playable characters: Doc

First Time Playing Duration: short (10m-30m)

Mission Briefing

After receiving the message from his current boss Mayor Higgins, McCoy arrives quickly in Flagstone to complete the job.
There is one problem: Doc didn't have time to get ammo for his sniper.
Higgins thought about this possibilty. That's why his 2 henchmen in town had put some ammo at 2 different locations in town.
Big Ann who controls the whorehouse, placed a box behind the building.
Foreman O'Neill, who he's currently monitoring the situation around the construction site, placed a box behind the saloon.

McCoy needs to retrieve ammo at one of these locations, but without being seen, in order to not draw any suspicion.
Then, he must find a spot where he could kill McBane without being seen or heard.
Finally, he will go to the barber shop. He didn't have time this morning to take care of that.

Mission Objectives

Retrieve ammo for Doc's sniper at one of the two available places and kill rebel leader, McBane.

McBane is the guy wearing a mustache, a blue jacket and a brown round hat in the first picture.

1 kill only : McBane
1 alarm only : happens when McBane is shot

This is a rather short mission. It could be done very quickly if you optimize where you get the ammo and find the best spot to make the shot.

A really good warm up, let's see how they all will met up and if the rebellion was stopped or not

So, i did everything because why not.
I tried to do everything without hurting anyone, here the recap:
1) I went to the whorehouse and i managed to take ammo and exit without using any abilities only movement and jump
2) Behind the saloon, i wasn't able to do it without abilities or withour hurting them.
___2.1) I was able to get ammo and exit using 1 gas potion and the bag 2 times, nobody was tied up but i lost the bag in the way out
___2.2) I tied up everyone (except for the long coat, because i didn't want to use the rifle it was possible using it) using the bag once, after that was easy to get ammo and exit

NicoNicoNicoNico @niconiconiconico

I can tell you the rebellion stops after the shooting, but all the story and links between characters are triggered by consequences of this event :)

Behind the whorehouse, I used just a gaz vial, but I understand that it's possible without any ability like you did, well done.
Behind the saloon, I just tieup everybody, even the long coat, but without the rifle, by using the gaz and coming behind without being seen.

Please tell me by private message where you made the shot.

CooperPooper @cooperpooper

oh right, gas would be a better idea

sevdascic @sevdascic

The power of the bag is strong in this one :)

NicoNicoNicoNico @niconiconiconico

Thanks for playing and leaving a comment

NicoNicoNicoNico @niconiconiconico

ps: it could be done without the bag

sevdascic @sevdascic

OMG really??
One chose ammo behind the saloon felt easier and faster... it was hard even with the bag :)
Have to play again and see what am I missing... I guess the whorehouse ammo is the way to go.

NicoNicoNicoNico @niconiconiconico

Yes, the whorehouse ammo is possible without the bag
