NOTICE: all those missions starting by DIII New Story are part of an alternate complete different story of what you know when playing DIII the first time. It is not "new" in the sense "following DIII" but it's "new" in the sense "an alternate story in a parallel universe". Hence, every characters meet for the first time in different places and contexts, led by another plot between different protagonists having different roles than in the original DIII story.
The evening following the shooting of Mr McBane in Flagstone, Mayor Higgins meets McCoy in his room in the saloon to pay him the 3000$ due for the job. McCoy plans to spend the night here and to leave during the next day.
Next morning, McCoy goes down in the saloon and sees a poster with a sketch of his face on it.
"Wanted Alive : Suspected of the killing of Mr McBane. Reward 2000$"
McCoy hurries to get back to his room, takes all of his things, then quickly pays what he owes while keeping his face down with help of his hat, and leaves town fast, direction south.
Bounty Hunter Cooper
The next day, John is in Flagstone, coming from a trip in the northern states.
He's on his way to New Orleans to meet Kate, who is playing in a week long poker tournament in the big fancy city.
While in Flagstone, he learns about the bounty for McCoy.
He investigates several places in the city to try to know more about this McCoy.
In the whorehouse, he hears that this guy has a hiding place far away from here, in Baton Rouge.
Baton Rouge is on the way to New Orleans, so Cooper might make a stop in this town and see if there is a trace of McCoy somewhere.

When John arrives in Baton Rouge, he notices that finding McCoy would be easy because the town is in a chaotic state.
A large gang is occupying the town. They robbed the bank after hiding the Sheriff and setting his office on fire.
And now, they are trying to catch McCoy who found refuge on the roof of the Live Music Club building.
It seems like McCoy is not fully equipped and almost out of ammo.
As for Cooper, he realizes he doesn't have his knife. He might have lost it during his stop in Flagstone.
- Get John to the top of the roof to meet McCoy for the first time.
Now that McCoy has no way to defend himself, Cooper forces him to cooperate with him.
Cooper still accepts to let McCoy get his bag near the cabin, but John will take the money that McCoy earned from his Flagstone job.
At the cabin :
- Retrieve bag for McCoy
- Get money from the box for Cooper
- Board on the boat
- One of the enemy carries the money they stole from the bank. Find this guy, get the money and return it to the bank.
- Find the Sheriff and bring him back to the door of his office.
No cooldown for every skill
One gun only for John, but still possible to go showdown mode and kill 2 guys in a fraction of a second.

- Hard way: Don't use dynamite. Use animals instead
