NOTICE: all those missions starting by DIII New Story are part of an alternate complete different story of what you know when playing DIII the first time. It is not "new" in the sense "following DIII" but it's "new" in the sense "an alternate story in a parallel universe". Hence, every characters meet for the first time in different places and contexts, led by another plot between different protagonists having different roles than in the original DIII story.
Just after the small gang got out of the gold mine:
John: How did we end up here ?
Doc: No idea, but I'm going to kill this little DeVitt prick.
John: We don't know for sure if Vincent DeVitt is behind this.
Doc: How do you explain we were sent to one of his mines ?
John: I don't know, but a chance you guys were able to find us here, otherwise we would have stayed here forever. How did you know ?
Kate: After you entered the sheriff office, I heard some strange noises, so I got closer and was able to listen what was happening.
John: Did you catch who it was ?
Kate: No, but I'm sure I never heard those voices before.
John: So, at least, it was not Higgins. But I don't believe it was Vincent DeVitt, it would not make sense. Why would he catch us and save Frank, who was responsible of blowing the bridge that DeVitt built ?
Hector: I didn't follow everything, but yeah, that's strange.
Kate: Now we know why Frank was so eager to arrive in Flagstone, when we were stopped in the train at Byers Pass. He knew he would be saved once arrived there.
John: That's right.
Hector: Maybe the men from that ambush where sent by the ones who knock you out in Flagstone. Maybe they all were there to save Frank.
John: I doubt that the ambush was to rescue Frank. But more for catching us. Or Frank. Or both.
Kate: Even if they are from a different gang, that still means there is someone else beyond Frank who is supporting him.
Doc: So, what do we do ? Now that we lost the 15000$ promised by Higgins for Frank...
Hector: Oh no ! I forgot about the money. That is not going to help me to pay back Mr O'Hara.
John: We should pay a visit to Vincent DeVitt. What do you say ?
Kate: Yes. Let's do that. We need to talk to him.
Doc: Or just kill him.
John: No. Maybe. Anyway, not before talking to the guy.
After Cowboy Jarvis learned that his hostages were released from the New Orleans swamps, he realizes his goal to make money by blackmailing the DeVitt family is getting out of hands. Emily McGain was brought into the swamps, but she didn't stay here long after being caught by Isabelle and brought by Big Ann. As his most important hostage, Jarvis sent her at his safer personal hideout, before all of others were freed by young Thomas DeVitt.
He also lost an other important hostage: Wayne, who is Isabelle's older brother, was able to escape.
When Jarvis learned that this Isabelle was a woman with voodoo abilities, he decided to capture Wayne in order to force Isabelle to do what he wants. Otherwise, he would kill Wayne.
Isabelle must not learn that Wayne got free if he wants to keep her doing his dirty work.
Jarvis also realizes that he is also in trouble because of Big Ann. The ambush to catch McCoy and his friends at Byers Pass didn't work. After Baton Rouge, it's the second time that McCoy has slipped through his fingers. Now, he fears that McCoy understands that Big Ann works for him and that he and his friends succeed to get information about him from her. He decides he must get rid of Big Ann before Higgins and the gang of McCoy realize she is the traitor from Flagstone.

First Time Playing Duration: long (1h +) (it depends a lot on how good you are being sneaky and with the distractions)
A party is being held tonight at Casa DeVitt to celebrate the upcoming wedding. Higgins, as a close friend of Vincent, is here.
O'Neill and Big Ann are also there. But Judge McGain and his daughter Emily have not arrived yet.
Isabelle has swimmed across the lake and she is now on the beach.
She must find a way to the reception area and kill Big Ann.
- Party Crashing
When the small gang arrives close to Casa DeVitt, they realize an event is happening right now. They still decide to sneak inside, but they will go in using separate ways.
Hector and Doc will find a way by the main gate, while John and Kate will come from across the lake using a small boat.
In order to go up to the top balcony, Hector and Doc will have to get some help from John and Kate with their distractions, because they will have to enter the mansion from one side and get out from the other side, where they could be seen by all the people from the reception area.
With Isabelle :
- Kill Big Ann (The white and red poncho woman in the 5th picture)
- Flee towards the main gate (where there is an exclamation point)
With John, Kate, Doc and Hector :
- Enter the mansion and regroup on the top balcony
The mission ends with they are all regrouped there, so make sure to do the 2 objectives of Isabelle before gathering the group of 4 together on the balcony.
