NOTICE: all those missions starting by DIII New Story are part of an alternate complete different story of what you know when playing DIII the first time. It is not "new" in the sense "following DIII" but it's "new" in the sense "an alternate story in a parallel universe". Hence, every characters meet for the first time in different places and contexts, led by another plot between different protagonists having different roles than in the original DIII story.


After the gang had a talk with Vincent, they learned that his fiancee Emily McGain has been missing for some days. When they ask why they were prisoners at his goldmine, Vincent doesn't have an answer. Except that the only one who could have the power to order something like this would be his brother. This situation worries them, and they start wondering if Magnus is alright, because him and Judge McGain are friends. If something had happened to Emily, the daughter of the Judge, maybe something bad could also happen to Magnus.

Mission Briefing

When they arrive at Magnus mansion, it's under attack.
Magnus managed to escape and to hide near the stables at the east side entrance.
But his son Tommy got caught and has been kept hostage on the top balcony of the mansion.
Judge McGain is here, and so is Wayne, after Tommy came back from the swamps with him.

After losing his hostages at Queen's Nest, Jarvis now wants to negociate with Magnus and McGain about Emily.
Jarvis' men are controlling several areas of the mansion and have put lot of places on fire.
They are waiting for Magnus to surrounder but so far, Magnus and the others are staying where they are, safe and sound.
Magnus has 4 guards protecting him (the 2 men and women in blue), using gatling gun as a threat if Jarvis' men try to penetrate this area.
This gatling was kept in the barn, just in case of invasion like this one.
So for now, both sides are waiting.

But Jarvis's men don't know that now, Cooper and his friends are here.
Magnus offer 5000$ each for the 4 of them if they could clean the mansion of all bandits and bring him back his son alive.

An other interesting thing is that Frank is also there. When the gang asks why is that, Magnus and McGain share an awkward look to each other, before Magnus replying them to,
"Take care of what I'm going to pay you for. We'll talk about that later, providing my son and you all are still alive"
Vincent seeing this scene is pretty confused, wondering what's happening...

Mission Objectives

- First, with John, Doc, Hector and Kate, go through the garden.

Then the team splits :

- John and Kate will rescue Tommy, (blue zone) and let him run to his father :
Kate can pick up a disguise near a cart in the entrance area. They will have to take a key from guards to enter the mansion, using the back door (the front door is blocked)

- Doc will take care of the men on the north east side, near the chapel and wood stocks (purple zone) :
While doing this, he will also pick up 2 documents carried by enemies.

- Hector will assist John and Kate going through the entrance area, but then, he will go his own way and clean the cotton fields area (orange zone) :
He will also pick up 2 documents carried by enemies.
Hector will end the mission by using the dynamite trigger near the long coat who carries one document.


- No alarm. Especially near the mansion, because the guards will notice Tommy and kill him.


- you will surely have to use some combos of lures to get enemies closer, like Doc's bag + tied-up body.
- when enemies are sit, you can make them look elsewhere if you draw their attention to get them up, with a coin of Cooper for instance, then, they will sit down looking in the direction of where the distraction was from.


You can control Tommy using the shortcut normally used for Isabelle (5)
So watch out if you use a key to select all characters, because it will include Tommy in the selection.

It's possible to do it, without alarm, with the gang separating as 3 groups as specified in the objectives, but it's really really hard
